Many of these historic theaters, about a hundred, have come so far and are a precious cultural heritage for the region. A type of theater buildings of particular importance are the Roman theater. In Roman times the territory corresponding to the Marche region were 35 municipalities and Romans thought that everyone was equipped with a theater and amphitheater.
