The Marche is a region with high density of historic theaters, consider that between the eighteenth and nineteenth century almost all municipalities, even tiny, they were equipped with a theater. Many of these historic theaters, about a hundred, have come so far and are a precious cultural heritage for the region. A type of theater buildings of particular importance are the Roman theater. In Roman times the territory corresponding to the Marche region were 35 municipalities and Romans thought that everyone was equipped with a theater and amphitheater. Most of these ancient structures have been destroyed by centuries, others, like the Roman theater Suasa, although identified should be brought to light again. There are very few theaters or surviving Roman amphitheatres, some of which are still used as suggestionante scenario for the representation of modern and ancient drama.
